Abraham and Tad Lincoln
Usually when we see photographs of Abraham Lincoln, he is posing for an official portrait, looking solemn and dignified. In this rare moment, we see him with his son Tad, with a shadow of a smile on his face. Perhaps he was entertained by his son’s exaggerated pose. Lincoln was assassinated just 10 weeks after this photo was taken.
Priests And Hippies At Glastonbury
Glastonbury music festival is known for attracting young bohemians, and that has been the case since it began and until today. Here we see a group of young priests at the 1971 Glastonbury, tasked with preaching about the word of Jesus to the festival goers. The contrast of the two in one photo is truly incredible.
