John Wayne Gacy
Between the years of 1972 and 1978, John Wayne Gacy committed 30 murders in his hometown in Illinois. He was nicknamed “Pogo the Clown” and “Killer Clown,” as he would often perform at children’s hospitals and charitable events. He was sentenced to death in 1980 and was executed in 1994.
