Saddam Hussein’s Capture
Saddam Hussein was an Iraqi dictator, and the US military captured him on December 13th, 2003 during Operation Red Dawn. He was then trasported to a US base near Tikrit and then Baghdad. On December 14th, US administrator Paul Bremer officially confirmed that Hussein had been captured, showing video footage of him in custody.

On September 11th, 2001, the US changed forever following the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. The attack on the Pentagon happened after a flight that left from Washington Dulles Airport that was meant to land in Los Angeles was hijacked and flown into the western facade of the Pentagon. This photo shows the shocking aftermath of the attack.
