Fall Fires
In October 2017, north and south California dealt with some of the most horrible wildfires they had ever experienced. The night of October 8th, numerous wildfires broke out across the county, due to high temperatures, dry air, and high winds. It was a recipe for disaster, and the fires stared to spread at an impressive rate. Evan’s home was so close these fires, and they were already massive. At this point, the fires were on their way straight to Evan’s area.

The wildfires were spreading like crazy, and people began to panic. There was no way for the local firefighters to tame the flames, and there was no doubt that they were totally out of control. With homes in the path of destruction, people started to leave the area in fear of their safety. Evan’s own father left, but Evan decided to stick around. Why was he choosing to stay put, when he knew that the fires were headed right for him?
