Jacob Miller, Civil War Survivor
For most people, there’s pretty much no surviving a bullet straight to the head, even with modern medicine at our disposal. The chances drop to even lower when you’re talking about the 1800s. Jacob Miller was a soldier in the battle of Chickamauga in 1863 when he was hit with a musket ball between the eyes. He miraculously survived, though he was blinded.

Here we see a photo of Sammy Davis Jr. and Clint Eastwood together in 1959. They are backstage following Davis’ show at the Sands Hotel. Eastwood was just a budding star at the time. The photo shows the two gun enthusiasts looking at a revolver together.
