Cleopatra ruled over Egypt alongside her brother Ptolemy XIII. She was run out of the country in 49 BCE, but eventually was reinstated along with a second brother, Ptolemy XIV, with the help of Julius Caesar. She gave birth of Ptolemy Caesar, who was rumored to be the Roman Emperor’s son. After he brother died, she continued to rule the country along with her son.
