Target is one of America’s most beloved stores — and with good reason. It’s the best one-stop shop option for nearly everything. From home good, cleaning supplies, to designer collaboration fashion lines, Target’s got it all. It seemed like there was nothing that could make Target even better, but they’ve managed to top themselves by announcing the release of a new line of affordable and delicious $10 wines.
The line is called The Collection, and will be available in early March (note that they will only be available in Targets that already sell alcohol – sorry dry states!). Although Target already sells a series of affordable wines, the $5 California Roots selections, Target wants to expand its line of affordable wines with the new premium collection.
The Collection will feature a variety of wines to choose from, all made from California grapes. They’re sourced from a family owned winery that has been in the game since 1935. The bottles were designed by Target’s in-house design team, as we can see by the sleek and beautiful design we all have grown to recognize as synonymous with the brand.
The line will include a Cabarnet Sauvignon, a Red Wine Blend (which is described as having notes of “mocha, caramel, blackberry, and dark chocolate”, a Rosé (which includes notes of roses, white summer flowers, “watermelon and strawberry”), a Pinot Grigio (whose flavor is described as “honeysuckle, melon, white peach, and nectarine”), and a Chardonnay (which they describe as “holds aromas of freshly baked buttered biscuits and flavors of roasted marshmallow”).
The Collection isn’t the only new wine addition that Target is launching soon. The company will also release a premium boxed Line, Wine Cube, in four-pack cans. Additionally, a Sauvignon Blanc by California Root will be introduced. Lastly, Crook & Marker spiked and sparkling beverages will be introduced. These have no sugar, artificial flavors, or gluten, but feature a tinge of organic alcohol. This isn’t your plain old club soda!
