What You Need
4 6-oz. tilapia fillets
5 tablespoons melted butter
2 cloves minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
juice and zest of 1/2 a lemon
1 lemon sliced into rings
salt and pepper to taste
fresh parsley for garnish
What To Do
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Start out by seasoning your fish with salt and pepper and place them on a baking sheet.
In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, garlic, lemon juice and zest, and red pepper flakes. Pour over the fish, coating each filet evenly. Place the lemon rings over and around the fish.
Bake the fish in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, until the filets have become fork tender. You can also check the internal temperature of the fish to make sure it is done. The thermometer should show 145 degrees F when it is ready to eat.
You can serve the tilapia with rice, broccoli, sweet potatoes, or any other side you wish. Use parsley as a garnish.
